Bienvenidos a Prida Vida!
“Prida Vida” (pronounced Pree-duh Vee-duh ) translates simply to Prida life. Since the beginning of our relationship, we have shared a passion for adventure and happen to find ourselves drawn to the soil down south. So, this is where we are asking our closest friends and family to join us for a weekend full of celebration, beautiful views and good company. We hope to share with you a slice of our life together- one packed with adventure, yummy food and an unforgettable setting (tropical beach paradise). This is our love language… we can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
Poppin’ the Question with Prida
Earlier this year, Moe & I took an unforgettable trip to Costa Rica. After traveling nearly 1,000km through jungle, dirt roads and palm tree lined beaches, we found ourselves on a desolate beach in Drake Bay; A small fishing village near the Panamanian border just a short boat ride down the crocodile filled Sierpe River… Seriously. We had to leave our rental car at a dock and ask for Captain Alex to boat us over to one of the smallest towns we have set foot in. The linen walls of our treehouse were lined with geckos & we were truly embedded in nature.
On a few mile morning hike through the jungle, the two of us (and a wild dog that we had somehow adopted) ended up on a beach in complete and total privacy from the rest of the world. This is the magic place I knew I wanted to pop da question!
While Moe was off to the side looking for what she thought could be a jaguar, I pulled the ring from my backpack where it had been hiding for the last 12 days. Just as I was trying to put the perfect words together, she came full sprint across the beach, spooking me into a murmuring, “I love you, I love you… uhhh please marry me” or something like that. Tears were shed, kisses were exchanged & the whole hike back was full of this quote from Moe: “IS THIS REAL?!” After six years, Moe must’ve thought she knew my every move… but not this one.
